Kobe beef

Kobe beef

Château de la Gaude now has the honour of joining the small family of restaurants in France able to offer Kobe Beef for tasting.

The ‘best beef in the world’ requires very special attention, which means that production is small and extremely rare. As a result, establishments have to make a precise application, which is then studied, as only a minority of them are lucky enough to be selected to work with this exceptional meat.

3 reasons why Kobe beef is so rare:

- It comes from a specific breed of cattle, the Tajima, which are reared under strict conditions limited to the Kobe region of Japan.

- The number of breeders of these cattle is limited.

- The rearing process is very demanding, with the cattle being pampered and fed in a special way to guarantee the quality and tenderness of the meat. They are massaged daily to distribute the fat evenly throughout the meat.

You can find our Kobe Beef in our Japanese restaurant Le K.
